How to Play

Play Snoring online for free. Snoring is a 24-stage physics puzzle game where you time selecting animals to move them across the stage and have one of them bump into the elephant to wake it up. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the green button at the bottom of the loading screen to bring up the game welcome screen.
Select the wooden button with a triangle on the game welcome screen to start the game.
- This will bring up the level select screen.
- Each of the 24 levels must be beat sequentially.
- Your web browser automatically stores your game progress.
- The welcome screen also contains a sound control button in the upper left corner, a game data erase button in the lower left corner, and a developer information page button in the bottom center.

    - Use your mouse left click button to select an animal to activate it moving.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - Use your finger like a mouse to tap the animals to activate their movements.
      - On the right side of the screen there is an arrow you can select to bring up the menu options which allow you to restart the current level or go to the level select screen.
      - Game Play
        Levels
        The game has 24 levels which must be beat in sequence.
        You can earn up to a 3-star rating on each level based on how quickly you wake the elephant.
        You can beat a level even if you have a zero star rating.
        You can select a level you already beat previously from the level select screen.
        
        Animal types
        
        This game has a variety of animals. Some you will encounter include:
        
        owl – bounces
        
        penguin – spins & can even spin uphill after it is hit by another animal
        
        pig – rolls downhill
        
        cow – alternates between a round rolling animal (similar to the pig) and a squarish animal which does not move. Cycling between moving and not is helpful for changing directions.
        
        giraffe – tips
        
        zebra – jumps
        
        Strategy
        
        The level is beat when you wake the elephant.
        
        To wake the elephant you need something to bump into it.
        
        The animal which bumps it may be the final one near it, or you may need to move that animal out of the way, or you may need to use that animal to bump another animal into the elephant.
        
        Since you can replay each level an unlimited number of times it may make sense to ignore the star ratings on your first play through and focus on the chain of events which needs to happen, then play the level again after beating it once.
        
        The timer and the stars associated with the remaining time are shown at the top left of the screen.
        
        The timer does not begin to count down until you interact with an animal.
        
        Obstacles & patterns
        
        Once you get around a dozen levels in the game has levers you have to use to have a cow fling a pig or create an opening for a pig.
        
        Beating these levels requires precise timing.
        
        If you are playing on desktop device and have to click multiple things in rapid succession sometimes it can make sense to make the screen size smaller to make the touchpoints closer together, or cycle the cow between circle and square to get it close to a ledge before completing your full move sequence.
        
        Some levers need to be spun fully around to a stop point by one animal before the other animal touches them, while others require tight timing of both hitting around the same time as levers throw things further if the items on them are near their edges.
        
        A couple levels later the game introduces moving platform clouds.
        
        These are quite challenging because you need to be vertically above the platform you are falling onto & the relative height difference between platforms and striking objects determines roll speed.
        
        Achievements
        
        As you play through the game you unlock achievements.
        
        Award “Owl” – Wake the elephant using an owl 2 times.
        
        Award “Pig” – Wake the elephant using a pig 2 times.
        
        Award “Penguin” – Wake the elephant using penguins 2 times.
        
        Award “Giraffe” – Wake the elephant using a giraffe 2 times.
        
        Award “Cow” – Wake the elephant using a cow 2 times.
        
        Award “Genius” – Pass level 20.
        
        Award “One star” – collect 24 stars.
        
        Award “Two stars” – collect 48 stars.
        
        Award “Three stars” – collect 72 stars.
        
        Award “Winner” – Wake the elephant in all levels.
