How to Play

Play Clarence Reckless Ramps online for free. Reckless Ramps is a really rad red wagon obstacle course driving game where you collect stickers and power ups to improve your wagon and ride your way through 15 fun levels while catching big air and scoring big points. Customize your ride by adding stickers and a custom paint job. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click on the green and white button at the bottom center of the game’s welcome screen.
The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right and a developer information button in the lower left.
Your web browser automatically stores your game progress including unlocked levels, level ratings, upgrade status, found stickers and cash savings.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use the up arrow key to jump.
  - Use the right arrow key to accelerate on the ground and spin forward in the air.
  - Use the left arrow key to decelerate on the ground and spin backward in the air.
  - Press the X key to use your nitro. If you use nitro in one level then your nitro count is fully replenished when you play the next level.
  - Mobile
    - Mobile touchscreen devices need to be held in landscape mode to play the game.
    - Loading the game on an iPhone may take a couple tries, though after it is loaded it should work seamlessly.
    - The jump and slow down (or spin backward while in midair) buttons are in the lower left of the screen.
    - The nitro and the speed up (or spin forward while in midair) buttons are in the lower right of the screen.
    - The game has a pause button in the upper right menu which allows you to adjust sound settings, restart the level, resume play, or go back to the garage.

      - Garage Design
        The center screen showcases the level select menu.
        The left screen is where you upgrade your jump, speed, and nitros.
        The right screen allows you to paint your wagon and affix stickers to it.
        Level Interface Information
        The top of the screen from left to right shows your current cash savings, your current level star rating status, the level sticker if you picked it up, and a pause button. Clicking on the pause button reveals links to resume play, control sound, restart the current level, or go back to the garage.
        The left side of the interface shows how many nitro boosts you have and what level you are currently on.
        Collecting & Upgrading
        Each of the 16 levels has a sticker in them. If you have collected the sticker from that level it will show in the upper right corner. If you do not complete the level you still retain that sticker.
        Cash is scattered around the level. Running over the money gives you money which can be spent upgrading your jump, speed and nitro. If you do not complete a level you still keep the cash you collected. The upgrade costs are shown below:
        Speed: 5, 10, 20, 35, 50 (total of 120)
        Jump: 6, 12, 25, 40, 60 (total of 143)
        Nitro: 7, 14, 30, 45, 70 (total of 166)
        grand total upgrade cost: 429
        maximum cash the game allows you to carry: 999
        Speed allows you to have a higher top end speed, which enables you to make longer jumps.
        Jump gives you more spring on ramp releases and other jumps, which gives you more time in the air to spin tricks and make longer jumps.
        Nitro helps you regain lost momentum, spin the wagon back over, and climb steep terrain. It helps you undo errors and accidents.
        Scoring
        In the level there are stickers, trophies and a variety of ramps and obstacles.
        In general the more things you collect and the more tricks you do the more points you will score toward your star rating.
        Cleanly landed spins are big point earners, though landing them poorly does not lead to scoring & you can wipe out ending the level.
        You lose points when you smash into some items like garbage cans.
        As you upgrade your wagon fully you can be more aggressive knowing that you will typically be able to rotate the wagon around even if you accidentally flip it the wrong way.
        If you do not get a high score on early levels keep playing later levels and keep upgrading your wagon. You can later revisit the easy earlier levels and score three stars on them.
        Strategy
        Completing 100%
        Off the start keep trying to complete levels without much concern for star rating or sticker finding, as both will be easier to do as your wagon is powered up.
        If there is a sticker which you seem to constantly go under or over look to see if there is an alternative path to get to it.
        Another option is to aggressively use your nitro so that the flow path through the level is different.
        On level 10 I kept landing under the sticker or jumping over it, but my first time using nitro boost I was able to have a different line and get the sticker.
        I am not sure why, but after I got all 15 stickers it stated I only had 14 out of 15.
        Mastering Flips
        When you are trying to score the best rating you can it is worth noting you only score points if you land your wagon on its wheels, so a cleanly landed 720 is better than a botched 1080.
        I spend most of the game with the right arrow pressed, however it helps to press back in mid air before landing to land correctly.
        If you land a flip incorrectly & haven’t yet lost the level try to hold the forward key and tap the up key to try to flip back over
        Need for Speed
        On most levels it makes sense to go as fast as you can so you have the momentum needed to make big jumps.
        If you keep dying in a particular spot try to go slower in an earlier portion of the level so you change your momentum going into the area that caused problems.
        Target Audience
        This game is fun for Clarence fans of all ages. Younger kids should of course be reminded not to try such stunts at home!
        There are no adult themes in this game.
