How to Play

Play Aqua Thief online for free. Aqua Thief is a 60-stage logic puzzle game where players must collect all the coins on each level without running into lasers or enemies. Beat each level with a single continuous move to get a 3-star rating. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

The welcome screen shows how many coins you have in the upper left corner.
The challenge mode is unlocked after you beat the basic game.
To the right of the PLAY and CHALLENGE buttons is a settings button to adjust game sound and music settings.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen shows which labels you have won.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button and drag your mouse around the screen to draw the path you want to take.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - This game was designed primarily for desktop computers.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The upper left shows how many moves you have remaining, what your current level score it, your best score on that level, and how many gold coins you have remaining.
      - The right rail shows a level select button & then it shows how many Sprint, Stealth and Shield power ups you have available.
      - The location of the indicators can change depending upon the aspect ratio of your web browser. The above presumed your screen is wider than it is tall. If your screen is taller than it is wide then the “upper left” indicators will appear across the top & the “right rail” indicators will appear at the bottom.
      - The level select screen will show which levels you have beat & the star rating you got on them. When viewing any level select screen you can click the screen background and drag it to view the 3 different level select screens.
      - Game Play
        Levels
        This game consists of 60 levels spread across 3 worlds.
        Beat all Aqua Scout levels with a 3 star rating, then beat all Aqua Master levels with a 3 star rating, & finally beat the Aqua champion levels with a 3 star rating.
        You earn a 3-star rating by beating each level using a single continuous move. You can beat levels using multiple discrete moves, but will not earn a 3-star rating doing so.
        Enemies
        Basic enemies move in a regular pattern.
        Sheriffs chase you.
        In the second set of levels there are lasers.
        Power ups
        Sprint – move faster.
        Stealth – sheriffs can not see you.
        Shield – laser can not stop you.
        As you play through the game you earn some free power ups with your progress, though you can also use some of your coin savings to buy additional power ups.
        Strategy
        Try not to head directly toward sheriffs or make sharp moves near them unless you are moving out toward the edge of the board, or are moving away from them.
        If there are no sheriffs on the level you can do circles or lines back and forth in a small area if you are trying to add timing between crossing different lasers or crossing different enemy paths.
        In most cases if enemies move in a rectangle pattern you typically want to move the same direction they are headed rather than going against their path.
        If enemies seem like it is impossible to beat the level due to the conflict in path timing between lasers and enemy movements consider if you can switch the direction you are taking the level (e.g. counterclockwise instead of clockwise), or consider if there are ways you can follow the direction enemies are headed in & then add padding by going off path for a bit.
        As much as possible try to move parallel to lasers and fixed enemy paths and minimize how frequently you cross them.
        Challenge mode
        Raise your best score to 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 to unlock badges.
        You can remove a number of coins shown on each move & then more coins will appear. If you quickly collect the next set of coins you will keep the bonus multiplier active.
        You get a maximum of 20 moves, or until you run into an enemy.
        The need to rapidly make moves consecutively to keep the bonus scoring active makes it easy to make mistakes.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like simple logic puzzles and room escape games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
